Our Treasure

There are certain topics that Jesus addresses that we tend to avoid. We do this because the reality of them makes us and others uncomfortable or even offended. But these are often the topics of greatest significance in our lives and the messages that we desperately need to hear. In today's parables, Jesus points us to a right understanding of the reality of Hell as a backdrop to His message of hope. We must understand God's judgment to appreciate His grace. Jesus shows us there is an escape from the penalty of our sins for those who, through faith, are sold out to Jesus and His kingdom as their greatest treasure.
