Righteousness by Faith

Do you just have religion or do you have true righteousness? This is the question today’s passage leads us to consider. In these verses, Paul has transitioned from speaking about how God sovereignly dispenses his mercy to the elect to the practical outworking of that mercy. He is shifting from focusing on God’s sovereign choice in salvation and moving to the elects’ response in salvation. We will see that they respond by receiving God’s righteousness by faith.
