Performance and the Promise

We live in a performance based culture. From a young age throughout adulthood we find ourselves striving to make the grade or reach the benchmark. While this has great value in earthly matters, it becomes a major problem when we try to perform our way into salvation. The scriptures tell us we each come up drastically short in earning our way into a relationship with God. But today's message points out that, fortunately, our salvation isn't based on our performance, it's based on God's promise.
